More updates, what else?

I'm back from another weekend in the great Ohio Valley... a bit shorter this time, but full of treasured memories nonetheless. Once again, I'll make this blog even more Jeremy-centered... why? Because my life would be boring without him!

The weekend started Saturday, shopping for costume accessories to make us look authentic as possible... the invisible dragon that Jeremy saved me from helped too, haha.



Then we went to a friend's party and met up with the Burger King, aka Tom, and we all cuddled up around the bonfire.


Monday, yesterday... we went to Circle S Farms and had some more fun with corn mazes, hay rides, cut-outs, pumpkins, and bees...

Updates

Things seem to be changing around a bit at work now - they hired a new person to fill my old position, whom I'll start training on Monday... which means in a few weeks I may be getting some new responsibilities! There has also been talk of job rotation. I wonder what job I'll get? I bet it will have something to do with wires or credit cards, since the other coordinator IIs all know them.

I got measured at Curves yesterday, at my one-month of working out there. I lost two inches off my abdomen! Every place else stayed relatively the same, and I actually gained in my BMI score. :-p Maybe that has something to do with being around ovulation? Who knows, haha. Funny thing is, I actually knew there was going to be some kind of loss in my abs because I haven't felt as fat as I normally do, ha!

Lately, I've been consumed with my future again... where I'll live next year, mostly. I think I have pretty much decided to be in Elgin, at least for now. ;-) Therefore, I've been considering a number of options - renting a single bedroom in a home for a third of what I'm paying now, renting a larger, nicer apartment that I can grow into, or remaining where I'm at now. I guess I've already decided not to leave Elgin despite my job moving away. I have too many relationships here.

My friend Erin just announced her engagement yesterday! I know she wasn't expecting it at all, haha. They make a sweet couple, and best friends - who could ask for more? Congrats to them!

Argh!!

I'm back.

I had a great trip! I'm very sleepy right now even though I slept pretty good (as well as you can on a bus all night), but I wanted to post some pictures asap for you all! I didn't take as many as I would have liked, but that's ok. :-) We had a fun time and played lots of games (I won most of them!), went bowling Saturday night (where I was stomped on mercilessly, haha), watched some movies - Flushed Away was hillarious!, and went out to dinner with his family last night. They're so wonderful! Wow, I just realized I put Jeremy in every picture, haha. I guess I don't take too many of myself! :-p

Thanks to Jeremy's mom and her coupons, we were able to play a free round of golf (and bowling too!).


Sunday, after having lunch with some of extended family, we went downtown to the North Market (that's Jeremy's cousin, Tom, on the right).


Monday afternoon we went to Deer Creek Lake and had lunch over looking the scenic lake, then took a brief walk down to the shore before the sweltering heat got the best of us.

Ohio or bust

Yep, it's that time again! I'll be traveling later this evening and early tomorrow morning to spend a four-day weekend with Jeremy and his family. Keep me in your prayers! I'm sure I'll post pictures after I return on Tuesday. :-)

Cleaning!

Yay! I have FINALLY cleaned out my car! The trunk is virtually spotless, as is the back seat and floor - whoo hoo!! I took the opportunity this afternoon after church when I wanted to spend some time outdoors. I tossed out three shopping bags of trash and brought in one of things and papers to sort through. It's amazing what memories all those years of trash conjured up. I had things dating back to the spring of 2003 - and I didn't even buy my car until '05. Haha. Craziness. I don't have much time left in the day to do the vacuuming and spot washing, but I'll certainly try to get to it soon. Tonight, I'm heading back over to Marissa's church for a good, old Baptist potluck. I miss those! :-)

Week

Well, about the job... I took the promotion (obviously) and started on Monday, but all week no one said much at all to me about it, it made me wonder a bit! I guess they just haven't decided what I should be doing yet? But hey, I can't complain much about a big raise with no extra duties, heh. They posted my old position on their website, so as soon as they fill that they'll do some switching around and I should be getting some more challenging accounts and such. I actually look forward to the new work.

I've also been thinking about joining a Curves with some friends. I've gone three times this week, and I think it's a pretty decent workout. I look forward to getting back in shape. Oyi, my body really needs it!! I've also joined a hand bell choir - only one practice so far, but by the end of that night, I wasn't AS horrible as when I first started, so it seems a bit promising, haha. And today, I checked out some apartments in Palatine. I'm actually a bit too excited about it right now, haha. I don't even know what I'll be doing four months from now, whether I'll be renewing my lease here or moving closer to work's new location, but if I happen to move, I'd like to check out some possibilities before everything looks all bare and snowy. I know I have many reasons to stay here, many which might likely win out, so no worries just yet!
