Japan

Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to pray and decide upon an opportunity that might lead us back to Hagi, Japan to teach English for a year or two. It's very exciting and something we both really want to do, but it's so soon! The most recent news is that they have one position open in August and another position open in September - much better than the July/February positions we were initially told about! We have a few more details about things now (salary, hours, visas), but are still waiting for a phone interview, which will most likely happen later this week. Hopefully, when we know where we'll be in a couple of months, we'll be able to set a date for the wedding. I know I must be driving everyone nuts with various dates, but so far it has not changed from the two mentioned in my previous post, and in the case we'll be leaving the country, June would obviously be the best option for us, haha. My goodness... could it really be only two months away?!? Wow!

Sigh

No wedding date. Yet. Arrrrgh. We really want to accommodate everyone! It looks like June 21st or August 23rd(?) will be the best possible dates. So we've narrowed it down at least! I'll be sure to update when things are settled, hopefully very soon!! I'm going away on a women's retreat this weekend leaving poor Jeremy behind for a couple days... when I get back we're hoping to register for gifts somewhere! Haha. He's still looking for good job in the area with hours that are more suitable, so please keep him in your prayers. And for those of you who heard about my sister's accident - she's ok and so is the car... for the most part. :-)

Aunt Again!

What? Two posts in one day? Yes, I'm feeling alright. :-)

Amber gave birth at 5pm this afternoon to a baby girl named Chloe Ann(e). She was 7lbs 14oz and 19.5" long. They said she has reddish hair like Jason's - but it's definitely not BRIGHT red like his was when he was born! Sounds like everything went well and they'll be going home tomorrow.

Dress

I found a dress I like last night while trying on gowns to get some idea of styles, etc. I was NOT expecting to purchase anything... but we did. Kind of. It's on lay away, haha. Now, I'm having second thoughts - as always. Is it too 'formal" for what I was envisioning? Is it modest enough? Will I be comfortable wearing it for an entire day? Is it worth spending the money on for one day? Will Jeremy like it? (although, I'm sure he will like whatever I wear!) I always second guess big decisions, especially expensive ones! :-p If you would like to see a picture of it, let me know... although I know all two of you who read this blog have probably already seen it!

Thoughts and Prayers

Just some quick thoughts to keep in mind over the next few days... Jeremy and I are considering July 12th for our wedding day. It still seems unreal to me that this time it's OUR wedding, not just another set of friends! It's hard to imagine that in just a few months I'll be a Mrs!! Are we ready? Is this really happening to us? My head spins sometimes. In just a couple of days we won't have to say goodbye to each other for hopefully a long, long time! And I am very thankful to all of you who are offering your help in planning our day! I know it will be even more special with parts of you all over it. :-)

Prayers: Jeremy got word today that his job transfer is not at all what we had hoped for - it couldn't be much worse, so much to the point I wonder whether it would be worth the money spent on gas to even take the job. So please be praying for him as he continues to look for new work in Illinois. He plans on being here this Saturday!! :-) Amber, Jason's girlfriend, is scheduled to be induced at the hospital tomorrow morning. She's only about four days overdue and everything is going very good, but go figure that her doctor is going on vacation this weekend so to accommodate the doctor's schedule... It really irks me when patients have to go by their doctor's convenience, especially when C-sections are concerned, but that's for another time! I have also heard that Jeremy's grandpa is having heart surgery on Thursday. Please keep him in your prayers too. Thanks!!
