Japanese
We really need to study/learn Japanese. Please pray for motivation and the ability to keep up with it. We realize we have been living here for over 9 months now and have nothing to show for it. How sad! We need to make the best use of our time here. Jeremy would especially benefit by becoming fluent in it, considering all the call-backs he received from potential employers before coming here, just due to the fact I had put a "moderate ability" on his resume! I know some previous teachers who had Japanese language tutors... perhaps I can find and contact them for ourselves.

YES! This is what Rich and I have been praying for you. It will make your life so much easier when you return to the states if Jeremy has this ability. I know how hard the language is but if others can grasp a working knowledge of it I know you can. A tutor sounds like a perfect idea since you have time for it. Stop making excuses Jeremy and "seize the day". We have always been amazed by what you are capable of, let God do this through you. We love you.
We really enjoyed the video and pictures that Jesse showed us yesterday at Judy and Rich's. It was great to see all the beauty of Japan and then your backs and finally your faces! We especially liked Jeremy's trip down the long slide as well as Jesse's. We also got a kick out of the "competition" Jeremy and Jesse had going climbing up the bungie pyramid and the volcanic rock! We miss you both!
Kris, you're capable, too! Maybe one of your students would be willing to work with you in return for extra English time!
Your grandpa Harry, could speak 7 languages fluently; literate in 6 of them. Maybe his genes will help you out!
